Centrad to unveil groundbreaking one-stop fleet safety portal at Euro Bus Expo

Leading supplier of Vehicle CCTV and telematics for fleet operators, Centrad, is set to unveil a ground-breaking smart camera solution at this year’s Euro Bus Expo, the UK’s premier bus, coach and mini vehicle event, at Birmingham’s NEC on 1st – 3rd November on stand number B79.

Established as a leading international trade show for the bus and coach industry, the show returns to the NEC after a three-year hiatus with a spotlight on innovation, decarbonisation and the future of passenger transport.

Centrad’s state-of-the-art one stop shop portal can integrate seamlessly with Centrad’s leading camera systems capturing real-time video and analytics from multiple vehicle CCTV camera systems to provide an integrated solution ultimately providing operators total visibility enabling them to monitor driver behaviour combined with video footage in a preventative effort to reduce accidents while out on the road.

The system offers multiple features including performance reporting, fuel status, electric charge status, fuel usage, driver risk profile and tachograph download amongst others with video footage seamlessly uploaded in the event of any high risk driving events, eliminating the need for operators to have multiple software solutions which has previously been the case.

Also being showcased on the stand will be Centrad’s leading Vehicle CCTV camera systems which include features such as high-definition video, full GPS tracking, and remote download on PC and mobile phone using 4G and Wifi.

Since Centrad was formed in 2006, the company has built a reputation for providing innovative vehicle CCTV cameras solutions for some of the most prominent operators in the UK such as Malcolm Logistics, Post Office and Volvo.

The launch of Centrad’s Smart Camera Solution is one of the company’s most exciting new developments and comes at a time when operators are under increasing pressure through rising costs and is one which Managing Director Geoff Cross and former fleet operator believes will be much sought both in terms of cost benefits and functionality.

Geoff Cross commented: “We are very much looking forward to showcasing our brand-new one-stop portal which not only puts operators in full control over their fleet by enabling them to analyse performance through real-time information and make more informed decisions about vehicle and driver efficiency but will also substantially reduce costs.

“In many ways it is an optimised solution for managing fleets as well as drivers. But more than that, our solution ensures that everything is brought under one roof, providing operators with a seamless insight into all-important operational aspects such as vehicle status and a driver’s driving habits – ultimately offering a 360 view of their entire fleet.

“By facilitating an enhanced view of driver behaviour and road traffic incidents, this poses a number of advantages to operators, namely reducing claims from accidents, which in turn translates into increased vehicle and driver uptime, less maintenance costs and lower premiums.

A well-known figure in the bus and coach sector, Geoff Cross is a former fleet operator, having established Birmingham-based Central Buses at the age of just 17. Since moving into CCTV vehicle camera technology – a move that was triggered following a growth in cash for crash scams that were crippling the industry – Geoff has grown Centrad from strength to strength since the successful sale of Central Buses in 2018, establishing the business as one of the most respected suppliers of vehicle CCTV products within the marketplace.
